M. Mónica Giusti is a Distinguished Professor at the Food Science and Technology Department at The Ohio State University and visiting professor at the Universidad Nacional Agraria, Lima, Peru. Her research is focused on the chemistry and functionality of flavonoids, with emphasis on anthocyanins and natural colorants. Her research has generated ~ 200 peer-reviewed publications and 8 patents. She has received multiple awards including the 2017 NACTA Educator Award, the 2019 IFT William V. Cruess Excellence in Teaching Award, and was named 2020 Senior Faculty Researcher of the Year at Ohio State. Dr. Giusti is a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and Fellow of the Institute of Food Technologists.
